 Not every website requires a log-in. You can just drop in, read the content, and go on about your business. Why not South Pleasant Grove?
Because we're a church. That means community. When you log in to the website, you are participating in the community. And that's reason number one. You can register to use the site by clicking this link, then filling out the information on the page that follows.
1. COMMUNITY - Belonging is more than a website, and signing a list doesn't make community happen. But there are at least seven more reasons to log-in, and they all increase your ability to participate in the life of the church.
2. PASTOR'S SOAP JOURNAL - Some items are only available to registered members. For example, access to the Pastor's Online SOAP Journal is only available to registered members of the South Pleasant Grove Website. Logging in to southpleasantgrove.org makes the link to the online SOAP Journal active. If you don't log in, you'll have a hard time finding it.
3. AUTOMATIC E-NEWSLETTER - Signing up for the website automatically signs you up for the electronic version of the newsletter. Its an easy to read online version of the mailed monthly newsletter, the Light. Wouldn't it be easier to cut and paste those calendar items into your datebook? Or to forward a story or photo to friends and family members online? You bet!
4. SUBMIT NEWS ARTICLES ONLINE - Registered members of the site can edit content! Is your Sunday School class planning an event? Write it up and submit it here! All you have to do is register for the site, then e-mail the webservant to request the additional privileges. But you can't get the privileges without the free website account!
5. FREE FREE FREE - There's absolutely no cost to sign up for our website. There never will be.
6. SAFETY AND SECURITY - South Pleasant Grove has a simple Privacy Policy that promises that your information will be kept as safe as we can make it with the tools at our disposal. We won't share your information with any third party organizations. As a matter of fact, we won't even share it with the Conference or the District without your specific permission.
7. DOCUMENT ACCESS - Website members have access to the In House section in the document area. Leaders can download forms for Charge Conference, access copies of the church budget, and view financial reports as they become available. This allows us to track who is accessing the files, and prevents capricious viewing of sensitive documents. You wouldn't want just anyone off the street wandering in to look at your finances!
8. FASTER CONNECTION TO INFO - Website members are automatically signed up for our e-communications network. Newsflash items and church-wide concerns can be e-mailed directly to your inbox. Before you worry that we'll flood your inbox, rest assured that only major news will be sent in this manner.
